Here's a wedding we shot back in the fall(I know, I'm way behind on my blog posts!). This was one of those perfect Kansas City fall weddings. Danielle and Jordan were a super sweet couple and we had a ton of fun with them on their big day. The weather was perfect, the leaves were colorful and we got some fantastic shots of them on the grounds of the Nelson Atkins Museum and at the Kauffman Memorial Gardens(our two favorite places to shoot in KC). We also got to shoot at one of our favorite reception venues, Loose Mansion. What a fantastic space that is. The amount of woodwork in that building is pretty mind blowing. Fall weddings in KC are what it's all about for us. The color of the leaves and the light, all make for a some amazing photo opportunities.
Speaking of fall weddings, we do still have a few fall dates still available for this year and we're already getting booked for fall of 2015. If you're looking at this blog and planning a fall wedding, better hurry and call us as those dates fill up fast!

Andrea and Andy - a winter wedding
The sun is shining and the snow is melting outside my studio, but before it's gone, I wanted to share some images from a wedding we shot back in December...
We traveled to Manhattan, KS on Dec. 21st, under the threat of a winter storm advisory. There we met Andy and Andrea, a very sweet and beautiful couple. It was cold. It was starting to sleet. There was ice on the ground. Then it started really snowing, like, blizzard snowing. The conditions weren't good, to say the least, but Andy and Andrea were all smiles. When we asked them if they would mind getting out in the road in the snowstorm for a few shots, they were excited to do it. It was lucky for me, as I took one of my most favorite series of wedding images to date. It was seriously snowing and I captured a couple of moments with them that gave/give me goosebumps. The wedding went off without a hitch and we got some really great images.
When it was time for us to leave at the end of the night, we quickly realized we weren't getting out of Manhattan. The storm was at full on scary blizzard status, so Jenna and I found a hotel room, ventured out to downtown Manhattan for dinner, and had our own romantic night. It was a really great day.
